Erik and Roger are still up to the same bad news. I met a guy over the weekend who just rented a Roger Smith slum from Erik/JP Associates and is trying to get out.
I do not understand why the city has not done more to stop these men.... they just keep renting to unsuspecting people and stealing their $$. This has been going on for YEARS.

Save yourself- do not rent from fugitive, arsonist, drug addicted landlords
I have copied another blogger's blog in order to help get the word out about these Slumlords. I am finding a lot of others too who have been fooled by JP Associates and Roger Smith and paid the price (I am still paying... hopefully to end soon). Please read below and be careful.
Would you rent from a fugitive arsonist landlord???
In case you are looking to rent an apartment in JP ( Jamaica Plain ) here is a list of properties owned by brothers Roger Smith and Douglas Smith which you should beware of and avoid at all costs. These landlords and their properties have had extensive news coverage lately covering ISD violations at every property, lack of maintenance, lack of heat, presence of rodents and mold and mildew, lack of response to tenants by the landlords or maintenance crews, lead paint, rampant rent increases and evictions for no cause (including a one-year old baby). These properties are typically rented out by the agents at JP Associates (also referred to as JP Apts ).
